2010 Board of Education Meeting Dates

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District has once again - for the tenth consecutive year - earned the highest rating on the Ohio Department of Education’s Local Report Card. Additionally, due to the district’s scores and academic growth rate in student achievement on the Ohio Achievement Tests and the Ohio Graduation Tests, the district earned for the second time possible the newest and now highest rating of “Excellent with Distinction.”

The Board of Education and the administration thank the students and staff for their hard work, as well as parents and other community members for their continued support of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools. Without that support, our students would not be able to achieve at such a high level.
 

The District is pleased to announce that the “Class of 2009” has earned the highest composite score on the ACT Test in the history of the school. Interim Principal Randy Gates reports this year’s senior class topped the charts with a 25.1 composite score.
 

An updated version of the district's Strategic Plan was approved by the Board of Education in July, 2007. This five-year plan provides specific goals and action steps in the key areas of teaching and learning, facilities, financial accountability and communications. A new mission statement was also approved.

A committee representing community members, parents, staff members, administrators and the Board of Education met several times last spring to draft the new plan. The entire Strategic Plan is available for download.
